Auguston Elementary School
The Elim Housing Society, a philanthropic non-profit organization, had been frustrated by its attempts to implement a program to develop a multi-level care ‘aging in place’ seniors housing environment in the lower mainland of British Columbia. Over the past 15 years, Field & Marten Associates have been heavily involved with the housing society, helping to structure the project goals, develop the business and financial plans, identify land acquisitions, create conceptual master plans, acquire government approvals, and put together the facility management team.

- Identified the project philosophy and the goals with the board
- Developed the strategic plan of implementation
- Advised on board structure for implementation
- Developed a business plan for the phased development of the complex
- Identified land acquisition alternatives
- Developed a financing plan
- Created a Limited Partnership Offering Memorandum to fund the equity requirements
- Introducted various forms of tenancy and their financial implications
- Developed a master plan for the complex
- Faciliated Official Plan amendment and zoning revisions
- Organized community information and discussion sessions
